Great extension !
I find that one important functionality is missing. It's a real problem to not be able to choose wich columns are visible when you're editing : as soon as you scroll horizontally to make the target cell visible, you don't see anymore the title of the lines, and you get lost. This issue is hardened by the fact that on screens with a standard height, the horizontal scroll bars are not visible unless you scroll down the table. That makes editing worse than unhandy : difficult, mistaking and can be quickly irritating.

One "simple" solution would be to have "hide columns" option available in edit mode.

Regards.

Hi,

Thanks!
We've planned to add a freeze cell feature witch can help also. Indeed it's better to edit large tables in the component view on a comfortable screen like for Excel though ;)

Thanks for your answer. The freeze cell feature is good news, is there an approximate date of release ?
What do you call "component view" ? When I enter edit mode (either front-end or backend), it shows up within a full screen dialog box (with the unhandy behaviours I mentionned before), I don't see any other way to edit the table, is there any ?

I don't have any date yet, 1 or 2 month I hope.

From admin side, use the menu: Components > Droptables, it's better for large table editing

Okay, thank you. Component view is better. Nevertheless, in my case, users won't have access to admin. And still, even in component view, as soon as there are many lines, the horizontal sliding bar, down the table, is not easy to reach, making access to a specific cell far on the right very tricky. Handiness of navigation through the table seems to me one of the main improvement to think of.
Thanks for your answer and have a nice day.:)
