Frontend uploading restrictions for public

Hi,
I'm interested in this extension for a web site that will have a design competition.
I want public users to be able to upload files for the competition - can I use the front-end upload form and restrict uploads to for example 1 file per user and only certain filetypes?
Can users see what others upload or can that be hidden?

Dropfiles allows registered users upload files to a category and includes options to display files in that category or not.

Can users see what others upload or can that be hidden?

If users can see the files in category, so can others; and vice versa.
