On a regular blog front page, or with the WP Tiles plugin that I'm currently using, when you get to the bottom of the posts on the front page, there is a link to see older posts (in the blog format) or "Load More" (in the WP Tiles that I'm using now). I need to see that functionality with the grid format in Latest Posts, so that the readers can keep going backward through the blog posts to older and older posts. I really don't want people to look at the front page and think "Is that all there is?," since I have more than 12 years worth of posts on the blog.

Hey,

Sounds as a great addition for the plugin, I'll add that into the roadmap for the all the masonry based themes.

Thanks. I bought the plugin, thinking I could use it to spruce up the front page of my blog (golfblogger.com), but without that functionality, I don't think I can.

Hi,

We've added an AJAX load more feature in grid and category grid themes (masonry layouts).
Check it out here: https://www.joomunited.com/wordpress-demo/wp-latest-posts/category-grid-theme/

Thank you for doing this.

But ... the button doesn't seem to show up on my layout. There's a small clickable area that does that, but no actual button. It's here:

Also, is there a way to move the text away from the box lines?

Finally, there seems to be a significant delay in the latest posts resolving. But that may just be my computer.

Yes it's a potential bug, we'll push an update tomorrow to fix that.
To fix that right now, you can add this css in the custom css field of the news block:

input#wpcufpn_front_load_element.wpcufpn_front_load_element {
line-height: 20px !important;
background-color: #777;
color: #fff; border: none;
border-radius: 2px;
padding: 3px 20px;
font-weight: bold;
transition: all ease 0.2s;
}

input#wpcufpn_front_load_element.wpcufpn_front_load_element:hover {
box-shadow: 1px 1px 12px #ccc;
}
