It'd be awesome if the server folder sync feature would also update files in the WP media library when they change in the source folder. It's a massive pain for front-end developers to keep library files up-to-date when tweaks need to be made etc. This feature would solve that and make a lot of people happy.

Hi,

Thanks for adding your feature request here.
It'd be awesome if the server folder sync feature would also update files in the WP media library when they change in the source folder.

That's not possible to sync the changed files with the same name on server to Media library.
To overcome at present time, you should add number at the end of those file names, and remove the old ones.
Or you can use Send new file and replace option on Media library to update new files.

Hi, yes I realise that it's not currently possible. It's a feature request ;)

Importing as new items (with a number on the end) won't update the image where it's used throughout the site. So that's not an option, really.
Sending a new file to replace each one is currently the only option, and is extremely tedious if you have a lot of images.

That's why it'd be a great feature - it fixes a big problem (that nobody else has fixed either).
