open image link in new tab

Without WP Media Folder activated, if I go to edit an image I able to create a URL for the image that has a checkbox with "open link in a new tab" (see screen shot - open-links-1). Now that WP MEdia folder is activated that option is gone (see screen shot.-edit image). I'm just looking to edit the image so I can add a link and have it open in a new tab
It would be great to be able to keep the ability to edit the image so it can open in a new link, as I often use them outside of pages (menus/footer area etc where I cannot create a hyperlink let alone one that opens in a new tab).
