WP File Download Widget. When I try to add a folder category to the post, the display on the front looks bad. Sub Folders don't line up and it makes navigating confusing for viewers. Through a support ticket, I was informed that the block wrap with the <pre> and <code> tags were causing the issuing and was informed to remove those in the html code editor. I saw no way to do that in the new WP Gutenberg block style.
I resulted to using the WP File Download widget from the block type drop down menu, and that cleaned up the appearance. The problem is that when the drop window opens for me to select a folder, my entire download tree is displayed with every folder category and sub folder, and there are at least 100 folders.
My request is that when the drop down window opens in the widget, the tree is collapsed. Then I can go an drill down to the sub folder I want to insert on the page or post.
My other request is, when I insert a folder on a page or post, on the left hand side bar of the Default view, any sub folders are displayed Under the main sub folder I am inserting. I know the sub folder are displayed on the right side, but they are grey until the mouse hovers over them. I know this sounds goofy, but some people read a grey icon as not being live or available. Consequently, some people think that only the files being displayed, which are in the main sub folder, are the only ones that are available.
