Export Categories and Files to new site needed

I need to migrate all categories and files in WPFILEDOWNLOAD to another site. this feature would be extremely helpful if added. Are there any ways of doing this currently? The category select all and download does not zip up the files and forces you to download them one by one so it is not practical. I am looking for some workarounds if this is not added.

We know this is a valuable feature so it has been planned to release in version 5.3.
