While WPFD offers the obvious metadata - description, size, hits, date, sometimes it may be useful to add custom fields eg "Owner", "Price", "Rating", "Expiry date" to your documents (or certain Categories of document)
These could then be used to display in frontend tables, potentially in sort ordering
Ideally you'd select the Field name, then type - text (size), number, date

You should use our hook to customize more columns in backend dashboard at the moment.

Thanks. That's useful for developers but i suspect most users don't have the technical skill or time to customise their plugins

We would find custom fields very useful but don't want them to be high maintenance. I think the feature would be a useful extension to the functionality and flexibility of WPFD
