When using BreezingForms and using the DropEditor, any place where there is a modal dialog and the editor is shows, such as when you are putting in text for the Tahnk You page or any other "section" on a form, upon saving from the modal dialog, any content is stripped. Even simple text is removed. If you already have text in such an area and you go to edit that text, even without any changes, just entering the edit screen and existing removes all content from that window.

This only happens with DropEditor on the same installation. Other editors do not have a problem here, including either TinyMCE or JCE. As such, I feel like this is an issue with DropEditor and not with BreezingFroms. Since BreezingForms uses the system default editor without other options, the only workaround for this is to turn off DropEditor globally if working in BreezingFroms. This is, of course, a pain and not remembering to do so causes extra work in having to re-create content.

Can you fix this?

Another Example of "stripped content":
When using PageBuilder from JoomlaShine, the PageBuilder button shows above the editor and you can compose your page layout, but when you come back to the editor or save the article, all of the content that would normally be created by the PageBuilder application is removed from the article.

Again, like with BreezingForms, there are no issues when using TinyMCE or JCE.

We are wanting to use DropEditor in place of JCE, but we keep running into these incompatibilities with other components that we use pretty regularly.

Any ideas?

Any idea when you would be able to take a look at this? These are a few reasons why we cannot implement this editor across new sites. It's fine for use AFTER we have created the site, but during development and creation of site, it is stopping us from being able to use it. And in the end, if these bugs are there, it's really a hassle to have to keep going back to the config on each site and changing the editor (and remembering to) to be able to adjust these things.

PageBuilder is a free download from JoomlaShine, so you should be able to troubleshoot that one. BreezingForms at crosstec.de now also has a free Lite version available that you should be able to resolve this issue with as well. I'd be happy to help test both of these items.

Anyone there working on this editor?

Hi,

Have you tested the latest version, 1.0.5. We've fixed several bug in this version.

Cheers,

I have NOW. When I looked at the time I updated this post, there was no 1.0.5 listed in the Change Log. I have updated to the newest version (of both this and the two components in question) and nothing has changed.

Did you have any reason to believe that these issues had been addressed or did you just hope they were in some update process? I ask this because it takes time to update and test. If there was nothing noted in the changes on your development roadmap (not shown on site changelog), why would you suggest testing it?

Do you know if anyone has even looked into this issue?

I understand that it is a free component, but it would be good to know if the issue is with your component or the others that are presenting the conflict. We cannot use or recommend this editor until it is compatible with other components that use the "default Joomla editor".

Your thoughts?

Has anyone been able to look at any of this? You guys are usually much more responsive with the support on your other products. What's up with this one?

Looks like development on this component has stopped? It seems that it has been since June that the component has been updated as version 1.0.5. I'm SO close to wanting to use this component, but there are some functions that we need in order to use it.

Can you please let us know if this component will continue to be developed?

Been waiting 5 months now for some sort of activity on this and it seems to be going nowhere. Is anyone even monitoring the thread or forum? The last official response was in June.

Anything?

Anyone?
