K2 search results filtered by location

Hello:
I need to know if I can combine the results from a search performed on K2 items (done with a third-party component) with geolocation (provided with My Maps Location). My site is a sort of yellow pages, where each company listed has a number of custom fields and one of them is the location (address). What I need, is to perform a search based on the values of custom fields, and then, once the results are shown, allow the user to show only those within a certain distance form the current location.
