adding text/description on frontend?

1. Yes, interface is exactly the same as backend
2. Yes it's planned for the next major version for all file type

I'm sorry, but I'm a little slow today. So how exactly do I add and edit files from the front end?

You just need to update an article open the file manager and user will be able his files.

Thanks for the quick response. By File Manager you mean "Files - Drop Files" Button at the bottom of the article? If so, I have permissions issue with allowing only access to a particular category. See screenshot. If I turn on Access Admin Interface, the user sees all categories. If I turn off Access Admin Interface, the Files Manager button disappears. If I turn on Access Admin and turn off Edit then the Admin opens, but none of the categories display!
